We did it! The first weekend in May, thanks to all the support we received, we were able to deliver the first round of foodbags to 54 marginalized families with one or more members who suffer from a disability. In cooperation with representatives of the association "Aceptando nuestro destino" (Accepting our destiny) we were able to contact and locate these families.

In the video you can see what was found in each foodbag. The value per bag was approximately 400 Pesos. Thanks to the donations and donations received, the cost for the project Solidarida Huatulco was only around 9'000 Pesos.

The fish were purchased from the Fishermen's Cooperative of Puerto Angel, who generously gave us a 50% discount on the merchandise. Members of the Huatulco Organic Market donated various products such as coffee, hibiscus flowers, honey, pumpkin seeds, various regional fruits (mango, passion fruit, banana, chayote and lemon tea), bio energa bars and seeds. The other products (rice, pasta, beans, oil, chlorine and soap) were partly donated by private individuals or purchased from local shops.

The Tilcoatle Collective opened its doors, to store the products, assemble the foodbags and also offer its space as a delivery point for people who had the possibility to collect their bags. The other bags were distributed directly to the homes of affected families in various communities in the region.

As you can see from their faces, the people supported by this project have reacted with a lot of gratitude! That's why we ask everyone to be in solidarity and support us to keep this project going and to distribute the next bags as soon as possible! Thank you!
